JUSTIN SIRKIN

JUSTIN SIRKIN is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer located in Los Angeles, CA.

 

Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Sirkin attended the Academy of Media and Entertainment, a four year rigorous program designed to educate aspiring filmmakers, at Calabasas High School. During his formative years, Sirkin became one of the highest achieving film students in his high school writing and directing several short films.

 

He was awarded for his achievements in Directing, Cinematography, Screenwriting, and Historical Analysis by the Academy of Media and Entertainment.

 

One of his first shorts, 'When Life Gives You Lemons', a slice of life story about a young boy trying to buy a bike by selling lemonade, got him accepted to the highly selective summer film programs at California Institute of the Arts and New York University Tisch School of the Arts, when he was just 16 and 17 years old.

 

His style developed as he ventured into the noir and psychological horror genres with 'Death At First Sight'and 'Night Call', while his next film 'Frankie & Marco', paid homage to French New Wave cinema.

 

In 2020, Sirkin produced the award winning and HBO NOminated short drama 'Baby' with his own production company Park Alisal Pictures in association with indie film company Faith Filmworks.

 

Sirkin has worked in development for emmett furla films, which produced martin scorsese's oscar nominated film The Irishman and Silence . He currently attends california state university, northridge majoring in film production with an emphasis in producing
